Business Advisory Council

The Northeast Ohio Business Advisory Council is a network of school administrators and business professionals that convenes quarterly to share pertinent, timely information about employment and educational opportunities in the Northeast Ohio region.  A forum with industry leaders from manufacturing, business, finance, technology, healthcare, energy, and green initiatives will ultimately assist educators in creating career pathways for students.

Vision: To unite educational agencies, businesses, organizational groups, institutions of higher education, professional organizations, and individuals who are committed to building a stronger Northeast Ohio.

Mission: The Northeast Ohio Business Advisory Council (BAC) provides opportunities where educators, students, and business and community leaders can network, collaborate, and partner together in creating programs and opportunities that support and develop a stronger Northeast Ohio workforce.

Core Role and Core Focus: The Northeast Ohio BAC focuses on three primary areas and is aligned to Ohio’s Each Child Our Future. The NEOBAC is a council of school administrators, business leaders, and local community leaders that meet quarterly to:

  1. Advise local school districts on changes in the economy and job market and the area in which future jobs are most likely to be available.
  2. Advocate for the employment skills most critical to business and industry and the development of curriculum to teach these skills.
  3. Aid and Support local school districts by offering suggestions for developing working relationships among businesses, labor organizations, and educators.
